Director

Angela Brunelle is a Director, Regulatory Services at Renaissance Regulatory Services, Inc., a full-service consulting firm providing regulatory and compliance consulting services to broker-dealers and registered investment advisers.

Angela spent more than 15 years at FINRA in progressively senior roles, most recently as Senior Principal Analyst, where Angela led risk-based regulatory reviews of broker-dealers and dually registered BD/IA firms. This work focused on supervisory controls and written supervisory procedures under FINRA Rule 3110, Reg BI compliance, net capital and customer protection reviews, best execution, CAT-driven trade reporting, change-in-business events under FINRA Rule 1017, market abuse surveillance, and issue remediation. Angela also designed and delivered training modules on these topics, served as a subject-matter expert, and produced clear, defensible work papers and risk narratives that strengthened examination consistency. Prior to FINRA, Angela gained experience in audits and controls testing as a Senior Staff Auditor at Crowe, LLP.

Angela is known for translating complex regulatory findings into practical, sustainable controls through strong stakeholder engagement with firm leadership, legal teams, and enforcement groups. Academic credentials include a BBA in Accounting and a BA in Communications from Florida Atlantic University. Angela holds active CPA and CAMS certifications and has passed the FINRA SIE exam.
